The Role

A rapidly expanding manufacturer of high quality fresh products is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team.
You will be responsible for a team of up 20 staff working on the production line. Responsible for maintaining standards of quality, hygiene and safety throughout the team. You are also responsible for motivating and developing your team, working towards targets for quality, wages, waste and consumption.

Duties will include:

  • Produce the highest quality products
  • Push the team to achieve labour KPI targets
  • To motivate your team and keep them engaged
  • Ensure paperwork is completed and is 100% correct
  • Ensure GMP Standards are maintained
  • Maintain discipline throughout the team, achieved with the use of performance reviews, formal and informal warnings
  • Developing skills and knowledge of all team members
  • Identify training requirements and implement training
  • Complete all return to works with your team
  • Identify problems quickly and take effective action to resolve problems
  • To act on information given to them by supervisors & managers
  • Conduct daily briefing with Shift Manager
  • Troubleshooting machinery & fixing issues

 

The Person

  • Possess the ability to motivate your team
  • Have the ability to work well with others throughout the company in pursuit of team goals, sharing information and supporting others.
  • Ability to take instruction
  • Possess good time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must have a keen eye for detail
  • Constantly mindful of ethical standards both personally and professionally, showing integrity, reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Be an effective delegator & good communicator

Knowledge:

  • You will have knowledge of all tasks that are performed throughout the area you are responsible for
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Team Leading role within a manufacturing environment
  • Understand company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Intermediate food hygiene certificate
  • Workplace Health & Safety regulations
  • Competent with a PC using all Microsoft packages

 

Based on a 45 hour week over 5 days.
Sunday – Thursday 8am – 5.30pm (finish times vary as per production schedules)
