Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Material Controller / Stock Controller to join a leading manufacturer who are part of a larger group at their site based in Aberdare, South Wales. The company are known for investing in their employees and the candidate that secures this role has the potential to progress into the Full Material Controller / Planner. The role is a days’ based position working 08:30-17:00 Monday-Friday.

 

The Role
Reporting into the Production Planner, you will have control of all materials and also the production schedule.
Duties will include:

  • Order and expedite the supply of raw materials to meet manufacturing requirements
  • Maintain stock forecasts and min / max levels in line with production volumes
  • Plan production in line with the business demand
  • Schedule production in accordance with capacity and manning constraints
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities to manufacturing and warehouse
  • Ensure all production stock transactions are processed accurately
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in stock transactions
  • Raise works orders to satisfy the production schedule, print and issue product labels
  • Advise on production volumes required to achieve customer service levels
  • Arrange periodic inventory stock checks on FGS and raw materials

 

The Candidate

  • Previous experience in Production Planning, Materials Control, Stock Control, Logistics Control or Supply Chain Planning experience
  • Experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment, and working to set deadlines
  • Computer literate – ideally experienced user of MS Excel, and familiar with an ERP system
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to work and make decisions under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Salary of £19.5k
