Summary
Are you a Hygiene Manager / Hygiene Supervisor with experience within food manufacturing? If so, this may be a great opportunity for you!
We are currently working with a well-established, progressive food manufacturer based in South Wales who are looking to recruit a Hygiene Manager. The company have a growing product base which is supplied to various companies throughout the UK. The role is a days’ based position working Monday-Friday.

 

The Role
As the Hygiene Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving all site hygiene standards by leading, motivating and developing your hygiene team.
Duties will include:

  • Ensuring all quality and technical standards are adhered to for audit compliance
  • Monitoring department KPI’s
  • Leading the hygiene team, ensuring all work within a safe environment and adhering to company and legal requirements
  • Implementing all departmental changes across the site
  • Managing full hygiene standards within the manufacturing unit
  • Manage all of the cleaning activities across the factory with production
  • Ensuring all Hygiene standards are kept to the highest of standards at all time
  • Required to manage the cleaning budget
  • Required to also manage the waste handling budget across hygiene making sure that high standards are not being compromised

 

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong hygiene background and will therefore understand the demands and challenges that come with this position.

  • Strong man management skills
  • Qualified in Food Hygiene level 4 or similar and HACCP level 3 preferable
  • Have sufficient microbiology training
  • Proven knowledge of COSHH
  • Management of allergens
  • Currently in a food manufacturing hygiene position
