We are currently working with a food manufacturer who are looking for a production supervisor to join their friendly team. The role is based on working days and afternoons 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00 however flexibility may be required to cover a night shift for a short period of time.

The Role
The Production Supervisor will strive to ensure smooth running of manufacturing operations, overseeing a small team. You will be responsible for the day to day running of production, maintaining / implementing new standards and driving the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process.
Duties will include:

• Planning, co-ordination and control of the entire manufacturing process, to produce high quality products in a safe manner to the required levels of operational performance.
• Suggest and implement improvements to the process to reduce machine downtime and increase production efficiencies.
• To ensure that the company's vision, values, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Manage and deliver the production plan.
• Manage, monitor and further develop systems to allow for improvements on production schedules and lead times to better match customers’ expectations on time delivery.
• Collate key production information, such as KPIs, to monitor performance of the team and shift.
• Implement & follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), controlling documentation and training needs.
• Promote and drive a continuous improvement culture.

The Candidate

• Food manufacturing experience
• Previous experience with Lean manufacturing and knowledge of 5S
• Experience of working with a range of modern production processes would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility
• Previous experience within a similar role
