Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, progressive manufacturer based in Powys, Mid Wales. The company pride themselves on offering a true career path and full development including Chartered Engineer status.
The role is a days’ based position working Monday-Friday 08:00 – 16:30 with an early finish on a Friday. There is a substantial amount of overtime available.
This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Graduate Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Shift Technician, Engineering Technician etc.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Technician / Engineer will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance.
Duties will include:
- Completing both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Complete actions from risk assessments.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times ensuring that safety is the number one priority for you and others.
- Liaise with Site Services concerning potential and ongoing projects and provide maintenance resource or technical support.
- Reporting to Maintenance Team Leader on daily plan and issues related to completion of planned maintenance tasks.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and productivity projects.
- Promote quality throughout the maintenance process and help to provide a reliable safe manufacturing facility.
- Maintain flexibility and be willing to help other areas when required.
- Support the Warehouse Crane by responding efficiently to calls and ensure that system is running in a timely manner
- Involved with installations and factory re-layouts.
The Candidate
- City and Guilds level 3 2330 Electrical Installation, Level 3/4 Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering or working towards these.
- GCSE’s including English and Mathematics.
- Good standard of general education and a thorough understanding of English and Mathematics.
