Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and updating of internal quality management systems to ensure compliance with BRC standards to maintain AA grade and customer codes of practice, including all policies and procedures.
  • Review Customer Code of Practice and Guidelines (including M&S and Tesco) to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to and take part in customer audits and visits on site.
  • Closing any raised non-conformances including root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Part of HACCP and TACCP team.
  • Conduct the sites internal audits, recording and closing of non-conformances, with root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Involvement in development and implementation of the system through all steps of the process. Monitoring of process controls in the factory. Effectively communicate with Production Managers and feedback to Head of Technical.
  • Progress development and implementation of training program.
  • Maintain site and customers KPI results. KPI reporting.
  • To work alongside the Head of Technical and members of technical team in motivating and inspiring employees to achieve the vision of ‘quality and food safety being everyone’s responsibility’ and being ‘audit ready’ at all times.
  • Support implementation of company culture plan.
  • Project management.
  • Member of taste panel team.
  • Respond to supplier/customer questions/emails/requests.
  • Assist with export traceability, upload data on P2D system and sending export declarations to the customers when required.

General:

  • To be prepared to undertake training that the Company considers would be beneficial.
  • To communicate with the customers and suppliers on a day to day basis, to be civil and helpful at all times. To be of smart appearance/wearing appropriate clothing and correct PPE when entering the factory.
  • To work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • To be prepared to perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post.
  • To work alongside the other member of the technical team, ensuring a presence from either employee at all times. Working out holiday/absence periods so there is always one/enough member(s) of technical team member of staff present.
