Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Site Audit Schedule, to include allocation of resources, non-conformance monitoring and effective close-outs. Member of the site Audit Team.
  • Manage Monthly Line audits, Hygiene/Housekeeping and Building Fabric audits, FB and Glass integrity audits
  • Manage the ACE site non-conformance recording system covering external & internal audits ensuring relevant personnel have completed investigations, root causes and corrective actions
  • Respond to customer queries
  • Manage the site Quality Assurance Supplier approval, and required documentation of all suppliers. Notify suppliers of any non-conformances and ensure effective close out. Monitor and trend Supplier performance
  • Support Technical and QC Managers with advising of updating of Codes of Practices, FSA alerts, emerging issues and other controlled documents, etc. as part of the Quality Management System and Audits
  • Oversee Pest Control contract, to ensure it is effectively implemented (site Pest Control Management delegated outside of QA)
  • Manage the site Allergen information to include validations, risk assessments and allergen review meetings
  • Trend quality information and prepare reports for meetings and for communication with
  • relevant personnel
  • Export administration - raise Certificates of Analysis, Export certificates and provide compliant paperwork for Veterinary approval
  • Manage the training of current and new staff against COP/SOP’s.
  • Member of the HACCP Team
  • Work in compliment to the Technical Manager, QC Manager and members of the Management Team, with further and varied work as would be requested from time to time
  • Manage Calibration Schedule and certificates
  • Support with 3rd party compliance schemes in registration of new products, new and annual reapplications - ie red tractor, soil association, PDO and manage pre-audit documentation submission.

 

The Person:

  • Level 2 HACCP
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene
  • Experience in Internal Auditing
  • Organised, ability to prioritise, accurate and detailed
  • Understanding of Product specifications
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, decision making, analytical, communication, Quality Vision
  • Experience in Microsoft & Retailer on-line systems
