The Role

Duties will include:

• Review and approve PPM/TPM plan to ensure legal compliance and best practice is achieved.
• Gemba innovation – Project and technical leader for Gemba Engineering innovation projects.
• Continually looking at engineering best practice and developing mid/long term innovation plans.
• Managing the Gemba and maintenance teams resource, budget, KPI’s, development plans, capital expenditure.
• Coaching and mentoring of all Engineers, technicians, and apprentices.
• Ensuring a health and safety culture – Evaluating risk assessments, fire register, MEWPS, COSHH etc. ensuring a safety culture across site.

The Person

• BEng/HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience with a Lead Engineer / Manager background.
• Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in risk assessments/contractor working.
• Expert in programming Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC’s.
• Expert with programming Fanuc/Yamaha/Universal robots.
• Excellent mechanical/electrical problem-solving skills.
• Read electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
• Vast knowledge in electrical fault finding.
• Experience of Presses and welding machines.
• Project management.
