Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Stock Controller to join a friendly, hard-working team based in Yeovil, Somerset. The company manufacture food products to a range of retailers.

You can expect to achieve a salary of £21,000 working Monday – Friday 7am-4pm.

 

The Role

Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for warehouse organisation, control of stock, kitting for production & dispatch.

Duties will include:

  • Organise the flow of the warehouse ensuring stock is safely stored and accessible and ensuring outloads are wrapped and labelled correctly prior to dispatch.
  • Prepare and debox all materials needed for the production facility to meet their production plan, ensuring full traceability is kept.
  • Ensure that materials are being received and signed in within good time, and that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensuring product/Raw materials are stored and dispatch in a safe, hygienic, and legal manner. Communicating any deviations to process or product/ingredient.
  • Warehousing: Ensure the onsite warehouse and storage is kept organised, clean, and tidy.

Ensure both company and health and safety procedures are strictly adhered to.

Ensure inward goods are signed in, and outloads picked, wrapped and labelled correctly.

  • Dispatch: Ensure all customer orders are picked and dispatched OTIF. Performance will be tracked with a KPI. Liaise with Logistics manager any discrepancies regarding sales orders.
  • Stock Management: Assist in monthly stock takes. Use IT systems to assist in realising work orders. Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle. Ensure stock is rotated and warehouse space maximised. Ensure all materials are picked and deboxed ready for production and packing to achieve their production plan.
  • KPI’s: Ensure OTIF and Warehouse/Dispatch KPIs are being achieved. Work towards improving/maintaining the KPI’s as set by the Logistics manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Always be thinking of ways to improve process and communication.
