Overview
A great opportunity has arisen for an Production Manager to join a manufacturer based in Bridgend, South Wales. You can expect to achieve a salary of up to £30,000 working a Monday – Friday days based role.
The Role
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and management across the full Operations function to ensure that all production areas meet their objectives ensuring the production plan is met safely, to the required line efficiency, product quality, and hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing the team, operating the factory in delivering the production plan to agreed product specification and performance targets in compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, Food Safety requirements, Legislative requirements, GMP and company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that the production requirements are met in a sustainable manner by facilitating growth and development of the team to be a self-managing team in line with the site’s longer term growth and development strategies and big plans
- Supporting the Operations Managers/Area Team Leaders to ensure all shift team members understand the company’s goals and objectives and their role in achieving them by delivering engaging briefs and training sessions, supporting the training plan delivery to facilitate this.
The Person
- Experienced in heavy industry
- Experienced/qualified in Lean and six sigma.
- N.E.B.O.S.H./ I.O.S.H. qualified.
- Engineering background.
- Commercially driven.
The Package
Salary is £25-£30k plus performance based bonus, based on a 36.5 hour week (8.30-17.00 Monday to Thursday, and 8.30-13.00 Friday), contribution to NEST pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus statutory days.
