Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Technologist to join a profitable manufacturer based in Mountain Ash.  The company have grown fantastically over the last few years and continue to do so.

The role is based on working Monday-Friday office hours with a salary of £22,000.

 

The Role

Due to ongoing success, the company is recruiting a Process Technologist.  Reporting into the Quality, Technical & Environmental Manager, duties will include:

  • Reviewing project briefs for potential new products
  • Reviewing product samples as they come in alongside production
  • Contacting customers for technical information
  • Reviewing specifications prior to raw materials coming on site
  • Managing the gate system
  • Reviewing incoming trial raw materials and packaging as they arrive on site
  • Issuing daily code sheets
  • Managing and conducting pre- and post-trial meetings
  • Attending trials and completion of trial reports
  • Reporting on trials and liaising with the customer
  • Completion of Recipes
  • Attending all launches, to ensure the process meets customer expectation
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of our BRC and IMS management systems.
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Reduction of Non-conformances from internal factory audits.
  • Reduction of complaints – Quality of incoming and outgoing products.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Level 3 food safety
  • HACCP level 3
