*This position will require occassional night work as the hygiene team run across 2 shifts. - Monday - Friday 40 hours per week*
Purpose of the Job Role:
To be responsible for site hygiene via the management of the hygiene team.
To ensure that the hygiene function is carried out and the factory is suitable to hand over to production.
To be responsible for and ensure that all staff are appropriately supervised and trained to carry out their roles efficiently and effectively
Key Accountabilities:
Manage Night / Afternoon Hygiene team to ensure factory is cleaned to required standards.
At all times manage all activities to ensure a safe and secure working environment during the night hours.
Be the point of contact during working hours.
Be responsible for handing over the plant in an acceptable, clean condition to incoming Shift Production Manager and report any unresolved issues.
When requested attend management meetings and be willing to flex and adjust hours of work as necessary.
Recruit, manage, train to task procedures, and develop staff to ensure all systems and procedures are met and non-conformances are reduced and reported.
Physically conduct checks of the site during working hours.
Complete all administration work as required.
Implement and maintain lines of communication, both within own team and external team to progress new initiatives and ideas to continually improve overall departmental performance.
Work with management team to manage labour complement as appropriate.
Undertake any other reasonable task as requested by the oganisation.

Ensure a high standard of hygiene throughout the company
Defined policy and process is delivered
Control actual and potential areas of waste across all KPIs through fair and consistent application of all internal policies and procedures.
Skills Required:
Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people, both verbally and written.
Previous experience within hygiene team essential
Previous management/supervisory experience
Able to take effective operational decisions
Able to identify, analyse and solve problems
Be fair and consistent in management of people
Approachable with effective listening skills
Able to develop and coach others
Able to embrace change and influence others to accept change as a positive force.
Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Management or Certificate or Diploma in Management is desirable
IOSSH Certificate is desirable
First Aid Certificate is desirable
