Summary
A great opportunity has arisen for a Setter to join a well-established manufacturer who are a leader in their field. The company have a growing product base which is supplied to various retailers throughout the UK.
The role is based on working a weekend shift – 12 hours Saturday and 12 hours Sunday (06:00-18:00). You will be working 24 hours over the weekend but will be paid for 32 hours + shift allowance. This equates to a weekly salary of £407 per week or an annual salary of £21,150. This role is based at the manufacturers site in Llantrisant, South Wales.
The Role
- The Machine Setter role will suit candidates from ANY maintenance background who have experience with setting, operating and maintaining production machinery
- The Machine Setter will need to be confident with hands on work on the production machinery and all related equipment. Working as part of a team on shift you will help to ensure all production machinery is fully optimised and functional.
- The Machine Setter will be carrying out basic mechanical maintenance as well as setting and operating the machinery. You will carry out PPM (cleaning, lubricating) and ensuring the machines are operating correctly and checking product quality.
- Managing the production line and equipment to ensure production can work as planned
- Carrying out any line adjustments where needed
- Alerting maintenance team to any issues that arise outside of your skillset
- Carrying out line changeovers and improving changeover times
- Basic maintenance on the lines
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role
- Basic maintenance ability
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
The Package
- An hourly rate of £10.01 (gross)
- You will work a designated ‘weekend shift’ consisting of 12 hours on a Saturday (06:00-18:00) and 12 hours on a Sunday (06:00-18:00)
- When working the designated ‘weekend shift’ above, you will work a total of 24 hours for which you will be paid 32 hours at a rate of £10.01 (gross) plus 27% allowance.
- 5 weeks of holidays per year plus bank holidays (145 hours).
- Bank holiday allowance will be based on a 24 hour week
- Holiday pay and bank holiday pay to be paid at your average hourly rate (inclusive of shift allowance and enhancement)
