The Role
If you are a shift manager who has experience of process engineering / process improvement then this may be the role for you!

Joining a dynamic manufacturing operation, you will be responsible to introduce, establish and maintain new methodologies of manufacturing and best engineering practices.You will have an understanding of manufacturing processes and will be technically capable of meeting the requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time.

  • You will have experience in improving factory modular manufacturing process, in order to enhance Safety, Quality and Productivity with a focus on key client applications in various requirements of the buildability process and control applications.
  • You will develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing and fabrication processes in line with Operational aspirations in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery and lead time.
  • You will support demonstration, pre-production and production builds.
  • You will work with interfacing teams (quality, HS&E, etc.) and suppliers to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood and accounted for as required.
  • You will ensure manufacturing processes comply with the legal requirements (regulatory, HS&E, etc.) and customer requirements.
  • You will review and modifying existing processes in a controlled and methodical manner, using improvement tools and practices to ensure any changes are effective and sustainable.
  • You will implement reliable solutions that improve process control, product yields and reduce cost through a robust analytical process which conform to all internal and external compliance requirements.
  • The role is to interface directly with their Operations function, Fabrication Subcontractors, equipment providers OEMs commercial and contracts teams

 

The Candidate

  • Previous manufacturing experience within a complex production role is essential.
  • Six Sigma Black belt or similar qualification/experience would an advantage.
  • Experience of working within a Lean manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of organic assembly technology..
  • The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, hands on engineering practitioner, proficient in sheet metal processing, organized and with good engineering technical knowledge.
  • An analytical mind and be capable of solving complex manufacturing challenges using a range of methodologies including route cause analysis.
  • An effective organiser with a structured approach to tasks and project management.
  • You will have work experience in a machining and assembly manufacturing environment, with an understanding of machine set ups and capabilities
