We’re working with a manufacturer who have been established for over 40 years’ and are a leader within their field. They’re recruiting an engineer to join their friendly team at their plant in Bridgend, South Wales. You will be working a days’ based position and salary is negotiable.

 

The Role
To act as a ‘number 2’ to the existing Engineering manager, with a view to succeeding him as Engineering manager on his retirement.

  • Electrical
    • Experience with Plc’s and invertors.
    • Experience and knowledge of electrical installations and circuits
    • Experience of working in panels.
    • General electrical fault finding.

 

  • Mechanical
    • Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient.
    • Control and delivery of PPM.
    • Adherence to all legislative requirements.
    • Lead Health and safety.
    • Assessing new projects and capex requirements.

 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Electrically biased but with mechanical experience
  • Background in heavy industrial environment
  • Detailed in planning and procedures and committed to improvement
  • Comfortable with reports, KPI production and analysis
  • Flexible re working times (to include weekends)
  • Team player working closely with production and planning departments
  • Problem solver
  • Commercial awareness
