Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a well-established, leading manufacturer based in Neath, South Wales. The role is a days’ based position working Monday-Friday.

The Role
The Operation Manager will lead a large team and will strive to ensure smooth running of manufacturing operations whilst achieving a range of targets.
Duties will include:

• Monitoring production to maximise productivity, optimise resources, prioritise spending and to achieve volume and quality targets.
• Working with the commercial team to align production with customer expectations.
• Management and development of the team including recruitment, performance reviews, performance management and disciplinaries.
• Researching investments in technology and capital equipment to enhance manufacturing performance.

The Candidate

• Excellent leadership skills gained across multi-disciplined teams.
• Focused on continuous improvement, efficiencies and LEAN processes
• Extensive production / manufacturing experience.
• A proven track record of making tough but successful business decisions.
• A good understanding of quality, safety and 5S.
• Strong communicator
• Leadership skills, keen to develop educate and drive change from within
