As a Goods-in operative, you will manage receipt of all incoming goods into the warehouse, specifically utilising a recently implemented Warehouse Management System (WMS) for all aspects of inventory control, picking, packing and despatching. Goods are used for Production, so a meticulous approach is required.

 

Key tasks include:

 

Goods In

  • Responsible for managing incoming deliveries, checking for accurate quantities and ensuring GRN’s are matched to purchase orders, and accurately booked in to stock system (SAGE 200).
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of incoming items.
  • Responsible for performing regular stock checks of materials against company stock system (SAGE 200) to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
  • Printing and managing Barcodes for the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Despatch

  • Pick, pack and arrange transport for despatching orders, this includes liaising with transport companies and recipients.
  • Supporting the Despatch Specialist in their duties as required.

Overall

  • General housekeeping within the warehouse office and warehouse floor space as and when required.
  • Experience in working to deadlines is essential.
  • 2 years working within a busy warehouse environment is required.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200 would be a benefit, but onsite training will be given.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Confident in communicating with customers and work colleagues alike.
