The Role:

Duties will include:

• Responsible for managing a cross functional team of production operators and supervisors with support from engineering, quality and supply chain personnel
• Liaising with key stake holders within other value streams and support functions to ensure timely delivery of components so that customer demand is satisfied.
• Optimising work flow and layout in conjunction with Engineering, Quality and Continuous Improvement.
• Ensuring all company and regulatory quality, health and safety requirements are maintained and improved.
• Ensuring correct and timely usage of MRP system by all functions within the value stream.
• Driving a continuous improvement culture within the value stream.
• Participate in on site customer events.
• Drive year on year manufacturing efficiencies to cope with business growth.
• Plan & Execute Capital expenditure in line with the company budget.
• Maintaining and reporting on Weekly Key performance indicators to Senior Management.
• Holiday management and planning.
• Administration and reporting as necessary

The Person:

• A self – starter with strong communication skills and a diplomatic working style.
• 3+ Years management/supervisory experience in a food manufacturing background
• Proven experience of driving continuous improvement.
• Proven working knowledge of planning systems including MRP / ERP systems
• Computer literacy is essential especially an excellent understanding of MS Word and Excel.
• Willing to work hours necessary to ensure production goals are achieved.
