Overview

We're currently recruiting Engineering Technicians for a well established manufacturer in Caerphilly. You can expect to achieve a salary of £35,500 working a three shift pattern of mornings, afternoons & nights. The company are keen to employ well-rounded technicians who are mechanically biased but with electrical capabilities, a technician who also has mechatronics experience would be great.

The Role

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, responsibilities will include:

• To maximise the department machines’ output and maintain the manufacturing processes within the designed specification.
• To work with other team members to continuously improve manufacturing performance.
• Provision of engineering and operational support to a manufacturing

area

• Machine setting, to achieve product specification and performance
• Maintenance of automated inspection systems
• Fault finding and corrective action
• Machine inspection
• Responding to minor breakdowns
• Preventative maintenance
• Major breakdowns
• To achieve compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, Food Safety requirements, Legislative requirements, GMP and company policies and procedures.
• Preparation of sub-assembly
• Other tasks as reasonably requested by the Manager

The Person

• A formal qualification in appropriate subject ONC/HNC, BTEC/City and Guilds in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Discipline/apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of high speed and/or food processing production
• Machine setting

• Plc, pneumatics, robotics desirable
