Overview

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturer who are based in Hereford.  You can expect to achieve a salary of £16.33 per hour working a 3 shift pattern of mornings, afternoons & nights Monday-Friday.

 

The Role

Purpose if this role is to provide engineering support and expertise.

Duties will include:

  • Provide engineering support and expertise as directed by the area Engineering Manager.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks according to the plant schedule.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and provide rapid response to breakdown situations.
  • Auditing safety systems, ensuring that safe working conditions are always maintained.
  • Ensure safe systems of work policy and Risk Assessments are adhered to.
  • Adopt a working style that will continually improve and enhance work practices.
  • Investigate methods of reducing plant downtime and increasing efficiencies.
  • Carry out Health and Safety, 6s improvements within the areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure as part of the engineering team that standards of 6S and housekeeping are kept to a high standard.
  • Ensure that all engineering plant areas are correctly serviced, maintained and calibrated.
