Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production and Warehouse Manager to join a profitable manufacturer based in Merthyr Tydfil. The company have grown fantastically over the last few years and continue to do so.
The role is based on working Monday-Friday office hours.
The Role
Due to ongoing success, the company is recruiting a Production Warehouse Manager. Reporting into the Operation Manager, you will manage the day-to-day functions within the facility to:
- Establish and develop a working relationship with the Operations Manager to ensure the function meets the goals of the business.
- Promote an H&S culture throughout the unit.
- Be responsible for training, development and performance of team members.
- Maintain the security of the premises.
- Develop the function to achieve set targets in all areas of production output, efficiencies, machine downtime.
- Ensure production is cost effective and GMP standards are met and maintained at all times
- Liaising with agency recruitment providers to ensure staffing levels are achieved on a project by project basis and are at optimum levels.
- Maintain the administration system and reporting of key data and KPI’s.
- Facilitating continuous improvement of production processes.
- Liaise with the Quality department to monitor product standards.
- Ensure the warehouse operates to optimum performance levels, meeting all industry standards to include accurate stock management.
- Assist with the development of the fulfilment activity to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work with the HR function to ensure the engagement of employees and adherence to company employment policies.
- Work with other managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- Hold daily production meetings.
- Manage team performance empowering, mentoring and coaching Shift Supervisors.
- Carry out post calculations to ensure ongoing costs are met.
- Proactive with customer trials, visits and audits.
- Contribute to the effective implementation of our BRC and IMS management systems.
- Delivering customer orders on time and in full (OTIF).
- Achievement of set targets with regard to production, throughput, product quality & waste levels
- OEE and efficiency monitoring and other key performance indicators as required.

- ILM Level 3
- IOSH Working Safely
- Food Safety Level 2
- Knowledge of production processes and flows
- Knowledge of quality systems
- 2 years’ experience of a production/warehouse management role
- Knowledge of BRC Quality Systems version 8
- Knowledge of Warehouse management
