Overview

We are currently working with a successful food manufacturer in Barnstaple, North Devon who are looking to strengthen their technical department due to company growth.  They are recruiting a Technical Officer who will be reporting into the Technical Manager, offering a salary of £28-£30,000.

The Role

• Support BRC audits
• Support the management & completion of internal audits
• Update QMS by undertaking regular retailer gap analysis
• Supporting the delivery of a HACCP
• Controlling and issuing of all Quality related Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
• Completing allergen risk assessments
• Support the Technical Systems Manager to raise HACCP / Food Safety awareness
• Ensure company is up to date with live food safety system and control within the factory
• Connect all QMS document across all sites to form one working QMS
• Completion of any identified non-conformances
• Monitor & support the group Pest Control program
• Building strong sustainable customer relationships

The Person

• 3years+ food manufacturing or equivalent
• Level 3 Food Safety
• Internal Auditor trained
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems
