Overview

We are currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for a high-risk food manufacturer based in Bristol, Somerset.  The role is based on working a day shift of 06:00-14:00 Monday- Thursday with an early finish of 13:00 on a Friday.  The company are willing to pay a competitive salary for the right individual.

The Role

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for product quality, food safety, line efficiency, labour, packaging, wastage, timekeeping, discipline, health and hygiene, upkeep of machinery & training staff.

Duties will include:

• Ensuring that all packing production requirements are met, cost effectively and efficiently whilst meeting the required quality, safety and legality.
• Ensuring all records are completed on a daily basis in order to meet the requirements of the Quality System and to review quality results, with technical manager.
• Ensuring that adequate skills are available to carry out the tasks required and adapt to change by training of staff.
• To manage staff within the department with fairness and consistency
• Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities – as requested.

The Person

• Have previous supervisory / team leader experience
• Experience within food manufacturing
• Knowledge of HACCP & BRC
• Be prepared to be hands on
• Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Be able to multi-task and have good organisational skills
• Be constantly mindful of ethical standards both personally and professionally always showing integrity, reliability and trustworthiness
