{"id":581,"date":"2017-09-15T15:05:47","date_gmt":"2017-09-15T14:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=581"},"modified":"2021-02-02T10:22:02","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T10:22:02","slug":"engineering-roles-gwent-area-variety-of-shift-patterns-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=581","title":{"rendered":"Multi Skilled Engineer, Morning, Afternoon &#038; Night Shift, Mountain Ash, \u00a325k &#8211; \u00a327k"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-581\"  class=\"panel-layout\" >\n<div id=\"pg-581-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" >\n<div id=\"pgc-581-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\"  data-weight=\"1\" >\n<div id=\"panel-581-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child\" data-index=\"0\" data-style=\"{&quot;background_display&quot;:&quot;tile&quot;}\" >\n<div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\">\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Multi Skilled Engineer, Morning, Afternoon &amp; Night Shift, Mountain Ash, \u00a325,000 &#8211; \u00a327,000<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for a manufacturing company based in Mountain Ash, South Wales. \u00a0The role has arisen due to steady expansion. \u00a0The Multi Skilled Engineer will be working a rotating shift pattern of\u00a0mornings (7-3), afternoons (3-11) and nights (11-7).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will ensure that the machinery and equipment runs effectively and efficiently and provide engineering support to all production equipment. \u00a0You will also work towards continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trouble shooting, maintenance and setting of high speed production equipment<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out planned preventative maintenance of machinery<\/li>\n<li>Checking and Calibrating instruments to ensure accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out various projects as required<\/li>\n<li>Filling in daily log books to record faults<\/li>\n<li>Consistently striving for Continuous Improvement<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining stock control procedure on consumables &amp; machine parts<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with internal departments over engineering activity and progress<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to health &amp; safety processes<\/li>\n<li>Training and mentoring of apprentices<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out building maintenance as required<\/li>\n<li>Basic fault finding on FLT<\/li>\n<li>New Line\/Machine Installation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications \/ Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of PLC electrical control systems<\/li>\n<li>An awareness of health and safety legislation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of high speed production equipment, pneumatic controls and circuitry<\/li>\n<li>Technical Problem Solving &amp; Fault finding<\/li>\n<li>Written and Verbal Communication Skills<\/li>\n<li>General Engineering ability<\/li>\n<li>Prioritising<\/li>\n<li>Time Served Mechanical\/Electrical Engineer with a bias on Mechanics<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of over wrapping machines<\/li>\n<li>Experience of maintenance &amp; repair of high speed production equipment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work unsupervised<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable\u00a0Qualifications \/ Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of Vertical Form Fill Seal Machines (VFFS)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Multi-head Weigh Systems<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in the use of IT Microsoft Packages<\/li>\n<li>Recognised academic qualification<\/li>\n<li>Working on Packing &amp; Packaging Machines<\/li>\n<li>Welding &amp; Fabricating<\/li>\n<li>FLT<\/li>\n<li>Worked in a Supervisory Role<\/li>\n<li>Machine Shop Practices : Lathe Work, Milling<\/li>\n<li>Experience of Working in a Clean Room Environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This role would suit an Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Shift Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer (MS Engineer) etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>JK Recruitment<\/strong><br \/>\n Please be aware that we receive a high volume of interest for each of our roles and we cannot guarantee we will be in touch if you are not shortlisted for the position.
