{"id":560,"date":"2017-06-20T17:53:57","date_gmt":"2017-06-20T16:53:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=560"},"modified":"2021-02-02T10:22:15","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T10:22:15","slug":"production-operations-manager-south-wales-45-50k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=560","title":{"rendered":"Shift Operations Manager &#8211; South Wales &#8211; \u00a3Comp"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-560\"  class=\"panel-layout\" >\n<div id=\"pg-560-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" >\n<div id=\"pgc-560-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\"  data-weight=\"1\" >\n<div id=\"panel-560-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child\" data-index=\"0\" data-style=\"{&quot;background_image_attachment&quot;:false,&quot;background_display&quot;:&quot;tile&quot;}\" >\n<div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\">\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n<p><strong>Shift\u00a0Operations Manager \u2013 South Wales &#8211; \u00a3Comp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordinate daily activities of employees manufacturing parts or products by performing the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to analyse orders and forecasts ensuring adequate staffing levels<\/li>\n<li>Continuous Improvement &#8211; developing and implementing measures<\/li>\n<li>Improve quality and cost by developing capital equipment justifications<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate with staff and customers ensuring plant objectives are met<\/li>\n<li>Implement Lean Manufacturing\/Six Sigma<\/li>\n<li>Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Ability to coach and develop staff<\/li>\n<li>Ensure both plant and manufacturing productivity is achieved against targets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mechanical or Electrical Engineering &#8211; minimum 4 years progressive engineering experience in manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 (ILM) \u2013 Preferable<\/li>\n<li>Project Management Software<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing Software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years\u2019 experience as a Shift Manager\/Production Manager within a manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and experience of lean production and 5S<\/li>\n<li>5+ years People Management Experience<\/li>\n<li>Coaching and Mentoring Experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>JK Recruitment<\/strong><br \/>\n Please be aware that we receive a high volume of interest for each of our roles and we cannot guarantee we will be in touch if you are not shortlisted for the position.
