{"id":3130,"date":"2025-09-11T11:55:57","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T10:55:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=3130"},"modified":"2025-09-11T11:56:25","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T10:56:25","slug":"multi-skilled-engineer-hereford-42k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=3130","title":{"rendered":"Multi Skilled Engineer, Hereford, \u00a342k"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-3130\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-3130-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-3130-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-3130-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><strong>SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To provide engineering support within the team and the wider business, ensuring planned maintenance and equipment failure issues are completed consistently and in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out fault diagnosis of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and provide rapid response to breakdown situations within the Maintained Areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks according to the plant schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake Engineering Planned Maintenance activities within the Department.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adherence to the CMMS requirements is mandatory so the company has a record of breakdown occurrence \/ time for the justification of improvement projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure an effective face to face shift handover where there is a follow-on shift.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that safe working conditions are always maintained in conjunction with company 6\u2019s and Risk Assessment policies both in associated Areas and Responsible plant equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Adopt and pursue a working style that will continually improve and enhance work practices within allocated area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the improvement methods of reducing plant downtime and increasing plant efficiencies within the areas of responsibility, using modern improvement techniques\/updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out Health and Safety (6s) improvements within the areas as directed by the Engineering Team leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all engineering plant areas are correctly serviced, maintained and calibrated.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development and skills training of the Apprentices allocated to the Team.<\/li>\n<li>Be flexible within departments to assist others where extra Resource\/Knowledge may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION\/ QUALIFICATION \/ EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Served a recognized apprenticeship\u00a0 or HNC maintenance\/manufacturing engineering or similar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SUMMARY To provide engineering support within the team and the wider business, ensuring planned maintenance and equipment failure issues are completed consistently and in a timely manner. &nbsp;
