Health, Safety &amp; Environmental Compliance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This role provides Technical leadership as part of the Senior Management Team.\u00a0 To develop and implement a Technical Strategy which covers all the following areas and finds synergies to accelerate maturity using a systemic approach enabling the business to rapidly move forward.<\/p>\n<p>Product Quality &amp; Food Safety Excellence (Quality Assurance &amp; Quality Systems)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure a proactive Food Safety Culture<\/li>\n<li>There is a strong quality management system, implemented across the business and suitably resourced to meet BRC grade AA standard, ensuring the production of safe food through robust food manufacturing standards<\/li>\n<li>Processes and checks are setup to ensure the manufacturing environment and processes conform and exceed the APHA expectations of manufacture<\/li>\n<li>There are inspections and systems to support proactive quality issues, to guide production and ensure the impact of these is minimised<\/li>\n<li>All required and best in class tools and processes are implement e.g. HACCP, VACCP, TACCP etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Health, Safety &amp; Environmental Compliance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure a proactive Health and Safety culture<\/li>\n<li>Reporting of HSE data<\/li>\n<li>Ensure there is a H&amp;S system which assesses and demonstrates legal compliance, employee engagement and a strong behavioural safety culture<\/li>\n<li>The QSHE function can demonstrate SEDEX ethical audit conformance<\/li>\n<li>A system which rationalises our environmental impact and works alongside other key stakeholders to reduce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>People<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To influence and escalate as appropriate to board level, peers, and teams on Food Safety and Quality and Health and Safety matters which present risk to the business<\/li>\n<li>Capability and development of the Technical Team to ensure a pipeline of Technical talent is maintained on site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HACCP Level 4<\/li>\n<li>Food Safety Level 3\/4<\/li>\n<li>Lead Quality Auditor qualification<\/li>\n<li>Food manufacturing experience<\/li>\n<li>Establishing an \u2018everyday\u2019 Audit standard \u2013 knowledgeable in: BRC, APHA, SEDEX, Key Customer standards e.g. private label customers or grocers<\/li>\n<li>Risk assessment, mitigation, and appropriate escalation<\/li>\n<li>Clear understanding of the requirements of suppliers, distributors, 3PLs and Co-Manufacturers \u2013 able to audit and support their development to meet our standards.<\/li>\n<li>Strategic development and deployment within a Technical leadership position<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable in systemising, developing, analysing &amp; improving processes.<\/li>\n<li>Food product development experience \u2013 nutritional understanding a benefit.<\/li>\n<li>Cross functional working with all site departments to raise standards and meet site KPI\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Technical advice and direction for Health Safety, Environmental and Customer Interaction team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JK Recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that we receive a high volume of interest for each of our roles and we cannot guarantee we will be in touch if you are not shortlisted for the position.
