{"id":2400,"date":"2022-05-18T19:24:56","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T18:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=2400"},"modified":"2022-05-18T19:25:42","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T18:25:42","slug":"senior-manufacturing-engineer-cardiff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jkrecruit.co.uk\/?p=2400","title":{"rendered":"Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Cardiff"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-2400\"  class=\"panel-layout\" >\n<div id=\"pg-2400-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" >\n<div id=\"pgc-2400-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\"  data-weight=\"1\" >\n<div id=\"panel-2400-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child\" data-index=\"0\" data-style=\"{&quot;background_image_attachment&quot;:false,&quot;background_display&quot;:&quot;tile&quot;}\" >\n<div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\">\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main function of this role is to design and implement equipment mechanisms to provide innovative engineering solutions for a wide range of manufacturing problems.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides design and improvement of mechanical hardware and software such as robot teaching for new and current model equipment<\/li>\n<li>Provide engineering solutions to analyze and solve manufacturing problems down to the root cause level<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing Innovation \u2013 Provides mechanical knowledge and know-how to apply innovative solutions to the manufacturing process<\/li>\n<li>Set machine capacity targets based on production targets and support the provision of investments and schedules that match the business schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and measurement of the manufacturing processes, identifying trends, creating action plans, developing PFMEA, control plans etc.<\/li>\n<li>Coaching and mentoring of those at technician and apprentice level.<\/li>\n<li>Improve Operational Equipment Efficiency to greater than 85%<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing innovation projects on time delivery to commitment<\/li>\n<li>Support production to achieve &lt;1.0 PQL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HNC\/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical \/ Electical \/Design engineering.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years\u2019 experience with a manufacturing engineering background would be desirable<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing and implementing production equipment<\/li>\n<li>Can demonstrate knowledge and expertise of manufacturing processes, environments and improvement techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of manufacturing design and capital investment such as yield rate and depreciable life<\/li>\n<li>Create \/ read mechanical technical drawings<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Design using CATIA is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Create \/ improve a robot program<\/li>\n<li>Measurement using a 3D measuring device and CMM<\/li>\n<li>Excellent mechanical\/electrical problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience with introducing welding machines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"panel-2400-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_wordpress_file_upload_widget panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" data-style=\"{&quot;background_image_attachment&quot;:false,&quot;background_display&quot;:&quot;tile&quot;}\" >[siteorigin_widget class=&#8221;WFU_Widget&#8221;]<input type=\"hidden\" value=\"{&quot;instance&quot;:{&quot;title&quot;:&quot;Interested in Applying??
