The Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manage the supply of material with delivery, quality, and logistics issues. Negotiate cost, lead time, order quantities and payment terms with supplier base.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Procurement of goods fit for purpose based on: –<\/p>\n
    \n
  • Parts supplied confirming official drawings and material specifications.<\/li>\n
  • Liaising with the Quality, Production, R&D, and suppliers to maintain agreed quality levels.<\/li>\n
  • Confirming that standards set by Regulatory Bodies ISO and BEAB are adhered to by suppliers.<\/li>\n
  • Policing of European Legislation \u2013 RHOS AND WEE directives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Monitor and evaluate material pricing based on external independent sources.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Periodic bench marking of existing suppliers based on new projects and introduction of new suppliers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Assisting with all KPIs within the Purchasing business objectives.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Maintain procurement documentation and other pertinent data.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Support the management of Inventory levels based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n
    \n
  • Introduction of new projects \/obsolete stock.<\/li>\n
  • Monitoring of Engineering changes to avoid obsolescence.<\/li>\n
  • Model discontinuation.<\/li>\n
  • Tight control of ordering procedures based on terms agreed in the supplier contract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Liaise with Purchasing, R&D, and Quality to benchmark and compare costs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Negotiation with suppliers using cost analysis, commodity tracking and strategic planning.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Support the management of stock reduction and maintenance of efficiency through the reduction of costs e.g., air freight.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Monitor the schedules for deliveries including Sea and Air shipment and report any issues accordingly.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Support material in transit and inventory targets.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Control HM Customs submissions and documentation for inbound and outbound goods.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The maintenance and control of change to BOMs within the system to allow smooth introduction of new parts and procedures through ECO whilst minimizing obsolete material.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to communicate in English, think strategically and make decision independently.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Extensive purchasing experience within a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Import\/Export experience using Sea & Air Freight.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Desirable Experience <\/strong><\/td>\n\u00b7\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 CIPS qualification would be desirable.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects would be advantageous.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
