\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA \/ \/ Technical \/ Food Tech Grad to join a fantastic food manufacturer who are based in Somerset. The company are very keen on developing their staff members to enhance their passionate workforce whilst also supplying their customers with the very best produce.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Role<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Comply with all hygiene, environmental and health and safety requirements as laid down in policy and as trained. Assist with supplier & customer database management
\n\u2022 Complete customer SQA\u2019s
\n\u2022 Handle internal queries and external customer queries
\n\u2022 Maintain the existing specifications through a review programme
\n\u2022 Review supplier specification (raw materials and packaging) to ensure they contain correct information and to be confident to challenge the content of the specification
\n\u2022 Deal with customer enquiries on product recipes and the raw materials they contain about country of origin, food scares, health and safety data, allergen and nutritional information
\n\u2022 Ensure customer and internal specifications for new and existing products are completed and maintained as per the required standard.
\n\u2022 To ensure that actions are agreed, followed up and communicated accurately and on time.
\n\u2022 Ensure work areas and equipment is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.
\n\u2022 Customer focused, understanding the individual requirements of key customers and confident in ability to develop, nurture and sustain customers
\n\u2022 Understand, uphold and sustain customer expectation for quality, safety and legality<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Person<\/strong>
\nThis position would suit an energetic person with great attention to detail, who has experience in Quality Assurance. We are looking for a confident team player who has the ability to develop creative solutions whilst maintaining a methodical approach to their work and deal with the pressures of a fast paced environment
\n\u2022 GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths, English and Science
\n\u2022 Intermediate Food Hygiene
\n\u2022 Food Technology qualification
\nExperience:
\n\u2022 Experience in a quality \/ technical position writing specifications
\nKnowledge:
\n\u2022 Process knowledge and the requirements to ensure product safety and due diligence compliance
\n\u2022 Supplier assurance\/approval experience would be an advantage<\/p>\n
