\n\tThe Role<\/p>\n

As QC Manager you will be first in line to deputise for our Technical Manager on the shop floor, as and when appropriate. As part of our management team you will work closely within our technical team, production teams and all departmental managers. Role requires the person to be predominantly shop floor based.
\nKnowledge and Experience<\/p>\n

\u2022\tManagement of the QA & QC leaders and their tasks completion rates.
\n\u2022\tManage absence and cover for the QC\/ QA team
\n\u2022\tRole requires the person to be 100% shop floor based
\n\u2022\tConduct root cause analysis for the customer complaints and where needed put in necessary steps to ensure the complaints are not reoccurring
\n\u2022\tEnsure technical support to run production smoothly and encounter and solve issues arising due to poor stock rotation of labels\/ ingredients and staffing issues from start to finish
\n\u2022\tEnsure non-complying products are immediately brought to the attention of the Technical assistant so non- conformances can be raised with supplier in a timely manner
\n\u2022\tEnsure you support production with helping them identify what ingredients could be substituted for without affecting the label of the finished product.
\n\u2022\tEnsure staff on the shop floor are trained on GMP and any other policies, procedures put in place by the technical team
\n\u2022\tEnsure weekly quality meetings are held with the quality team to ensure staff issues are addressed in a timely manner
\n\u2022\tEnsure that products are manufactured to Customer, Company and Legal requirements
\n\u2022\tManage production shop floor to ensure that the area is always audit ready
\n\u2022\tOversee allergen clean downs on the shop floor
\n\u2022\tWork along with the production shift manager to ensure product safety and quality is put first
\n\u2022\tEnsure 100% compliance of the due diligence documents in production, WIP as well as the low risk areas
\n\u2022\tWork with Technical Manager implement BRC Issue 7 systems and procedures
\n\u2022\tOversee section personal health and hygiene requirements of staff and compliance to sections, production and production control.
\n\u2022\tEnsure the first and last products are checked and step in and help production ensure
\n\u2022\tInvolvement with accreditation – BRC Issue 8
\nThe Person
\n\u2022\tExperience at a Quality Management level in a food manufacturing environment
\n\u2022\tExperience of managing and developing a team
\n\u2022\tAbility to motivate and inspire a team
\n\u2022\tDegree qualified or similar in a relevant subject, e.g. Food Safety, Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or similar- desirable.
\n\u2022\tQualified in HACCP management techniques and application
\n\u2022\tExcellent communication skills, verbal and written
\n\u2022\tPositive and can-do attitude.
\n\u2022\tHighly organised <\/p>\n
