Multi-skilled Engineer – Electrical or Mechanical Bias<\/strong><\/span>

Description<\/strong>
\nTo ensure that machinery and equipment runs effectively and efficiently and to provide engineering support to all production equipment and working towards continuous improvement.
\nThe Role
\nTrouble shooting, maintenance and setting of high speed production equipment
\nCarrying out planned preventative maintenance of machinery
\nChecking and Calibrating instruments to ensure accuracy
\nCarrying out various projects as required
\nFilling in daily log books to record faults
\nConsistently striving for Continuous Improvement
\nMaintaining stock control procedure on consumables & machine parts
\nCommunicating with internal departments over engineering activity and progress
\nAdhering to health & safety processes
\nTraining and mentoring of apprentices
\nCarrying out building maintenance as required
\nBasic fault finding on FLT
\nNew Line\/Machine Installation<\/p>\n

Essential Skills<\/strong>
\nKnowledge of PLC electrical control systems
\nAn awareness of health and safety legislation
\nKnowledge of high speed production equipment, pneumatic controls and circuitry,
\nTechnical Problem Solving & Fault finding
\nWritten and Verbal Communication Skills
\nGeneral Engineering ability
\nPrioritising
\nTime Served Mechanical\/Electrical Engineer with a bias on Mechanics
\nKnowledge of over wrapping machines (Marden Edwards or others)
\nExperience of maintenance & repair of high speed production equipment
\nAbility to work unsupervised<\/p>\n

Desirable Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

Knowledge of Vertical Form Fill Seal Machines (VFFS)
\nKnowledge of Multi-head Weigh Systems
\nExperienced in the use of IT Microsoft Packages
\nRecognised academic qualification
\nWorking on Packing & Packaging Machines
\nWelding & Fabricating
\nFLT
\nMachine Shop Practices : Lathe Work, Milling
\nExperience of Working in a Clean Room Environment<\/p>\n
